Heroes With Handicaps, Inc. is a non-profit organization 501 (c) (3) established to provide financial assistance to Army Special Needs Children who are diagnosed within the Autism Spectrum and have an emotionally impaired disability.
The vision of Heroes With Handicaps, Inc. is to prevent deterioration in function, enhance their God-given potential and assist them to ultimately become independent adults.
Heroes With Handicaps, Inc. is not a subsitute for any other public assistance or insurance benefits/entitlements provided to the families of Army Special Needs Children. Heroes With Handicaps, Inc. will provide financial assistance for medically required therapeutic services such as therapeutic day treatment program scholarships, camps, therapy dogs, and after-school programs. Heroes With Handicaps, Inc. wishes to lessen the burden on Army Special Needs families due to frequent moves and disruption in schedules. These children need routines and stability in order to develop to their full potential. Heroes With Handicaps, Inc. supports the mission of the Army by supporting Army Special Needs families.

Millions of dollars are being spent on Autism Research, but very few dollars on the treatment and education of children with Autism. Until a cure for Autism is found, the most effective way to help these children is with proper treatment and services.
